Host: University College London (United Kingdom)
Main supervisor: G. He
Co-supervisors/mentors: A. Dell'Era (Sapienza Università di Roma – Italy), D. Brett (PMN – United Kingdom)
Duration: 36 months
Required profile: Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
Desirable skills/interests: Electrocatalyst preparation, device fabrication, electrochemical measurement, materials characterisation
Objectives: Investigate bifunctional electrocatalysts and electrode fabrication suitable for both the oxygen evolution and reduction reactions for zinc-air batteries, and to explore the impact of these catalysts through precise interface regulation on the power density and stability of these batteries. The expected results include achieving a power density exceeding 300 mW/cm² and stable operation for over 1000 hours.
