Investigate ZIB performance (stability, rate, energy density, etc.), examining battery failure mechanisms, and developing sustainable electrode/ electrolyte interfacial strategies to enhance the cathode with high mass loading and zinc anode utilization. The expected project results include a performance analysis of ZIBs with environment variables, identification of the major factors that influence battery performance, and the creation of sustainable interfacial modifications for both the anode and cathode that enable ZIBs with high energy density and stability.
